How much does painting a rendered façade cost?
Updated

NLL Måleri’s rendered façade painting labour costs 500–750 SEK per m² including VAT. Paint, tape and protection are separate at 187.50–250 SEK per m². Together these total 687.50–1,000 SEK per m² before any applicable ROT. Scaffolding and extras are assessed separately.
This guide covers painting render. It does not price rerendering a house, applying new render or constructing a new façade. Describe both finish condition and desired work.

What does the rendered façade painting calculation include?
The calculation separates painting labour from paint, tape and protection. The quote must state required and included preparation.
The table shows amounts including VAT per m² painted area, before any applicable ROT.
| Item | Price per m² |
|---|---|
| Rendered façade painting labour | 500–750 SEK |
| Paint, tape and protection | 187.50–250 SEK |
| Total for these items | 687.50–1,000 SEK |
The total is not a complete renovation price. Compare only quotes containing the same items and areas.
Are painting and rerendering the same work?
No. Painting an existing surface and rerendering need different scope descriptions. This list confirms painting costs. Do not use it to budget new render or major façade replacement.
Are crack repairs included?
Cracks and other damage need assessing and specifying. Do not assume all repairs are included in the painting range. Send close-ups with a whole-façade-side photo to show location.
What does painting 100 m² of render cost?
For 100 m², labour and stated painting materials total 68,750–100,000 SEK including VAT before any applicable ROT. Scaffolding, repairs and other project costs are excluded.
| Item | Cost for 100 m² |
|---|---|
| Labour | 50,000–75,000 SEK |
| Paint, tape and protection | 18,750–25,000 SEK |
| Total before ROT | 68,750–100,000 SEK |
The example covers 100 m² of treated façade. It is not a fixed price for a house with 100 m² living area.
How do you calculate painting just one façade side?
Use that side’s measurements and specify openings and exclusions. NLL must confirm scope before providing a final price. Do not assume part of a house costs an exact fraction of a previous whole-house quote.
What information is needed about render and previous paint?
Describe visible damage and known previous treatment. Say the paint type is unknown rather than guessing a system.
What if the paint type is unknown?
Send photos and any old work specifications or paint-tin information. Request assessment of the surface and proposed treatment before ordering. A low material price alone is not enough to choose a treatment.
Which photos help assessment?
An overview shows scope and access. Close-ups show cracks, flakes and other visible changes. Read the rendered façade maintenance guide for further questions before inspection. Photos cannot establish every cause of damage.
How do you compare two rendered façade quotes?
Compare the same area and treatment. Ask each quote to:
- State areas painted and excluded.
- Describe preparation and any repairs.
- Specify chosen materials and labour costs.
- State scaffolding or other access costs.
- Describe timing and handling of extras.
For a budget covering several façade materials or the whole house, use the exterior painting cost guide. This page is limited to painting rendered façades.
How does ROT affect the price?
Up to 30% of eligible labour may qualify for ROT if conditions and allowance permit. See Skatteverket.
For 100 m², labour and stated materials total 53,750–77,500 SEK after a 30% deduction on all labour. Full entitlement is assumed. Scaffolding, repairs and extras remain excluded.
How do you request a quote for a rendered façade?
State location, approximate painting area, previous treatment and known damage. Read about exterior wall painting from NLL Måleri and use the cost calculator for an initial budget. Request a quote for a price with specified scope.
