NLL Prices
What does filling cost per m²?
Updated

NLL Måleri’s filling labour costs 250–375 SEK per m² including VAT. Materials for filling alone are priced separately. The filling-and-painting package has a labour price of 562.50 SEK per m² including VAT, also with materials extra.
The square-metre price applies to treated area. Distinguish wall from floor area and describe local repairs versus a whole wall. Otherwise, the same room size can describe very different orders.

Which filling work should the price include?
The quote must state included surfaces and tasks. The range does not replace that description.
How do repairs differ from skim coating?
Repairs cover specific holes, joints or damage. Skim coating treats a larger continuous area. Describe what you see and the desired finish so your enquiry is not interpreted as a smaller job than intended.
The guide to skim coating walls explains the context. A generic price does not guarantee every possible surface treatment is included.
Are sanding and a paint-ready finish included?
Ask the quote to specify the final state: tasks completed, and whether the surface is left ready for painting or painting is included. This is clearer than ordering “filling” without defining the result.
How does filling alone differ from the painting package?
The package is a separate labour price. Do not add it to separate filling and painting prices for the same area.
The table shows labour including VAT before any applicable ROT. Materials are extra for both options.
| Order | Labour price per m² | Materials |
|---|---|---|
| Filling only | 250–375 SEK | Assessed separately |
| Filling and painting | 562.50 SEK | Specified in the quote |
Choose according to the actual work. Keep areas separate where some walls need filling and others only painting.
Is there a fixed material price for filling alone?
This guide gives no fixed material price for filling alone. Request a materials item for your surface and scope. The paint, tape and protection range must not be presented as a confirmed price for all filling materials.
How do you calculate 40 m² of filling?
Filling-only labour for 40 m² is 10,000–15,000 SEK including VAT. The filling-and-painting package labour is 22,500 SEK for the same treated area.
Before any applicable ROT, the calculation is:
| Option | Labour calculation | Labour cost |
|---|---|---|
| Filling only | 40 × 250–375 SEK | 10,000–15,000 SEK |
| Filling and painting | 40 × 562.50 SEK | 22,500 SEK |
Materials and agreed extras are outside the table. This illustrates the price-list arithmetic, not a complete quote for a specific room.
Is 40 m² of floor area the same as 40 m² of filling?
No. A room with 40 m² of floor may have a different wall area; a ceiling is added only if treated. List walls and ceilings separately with measurements, marking openings and excluded areas.
What information affects assessment of the work?
Surface condition and agreed scope must be described before a final price. State joints, old repairs, unevenness or finishes needing attention.
What should be stated for a furnished room?
Describe furniture and access. Request specified responsibility for clearing, covering and cleaning. This allows comparisons without assuming identical preparation is included everywhere.
How are drying time and subsequent painting planned?
Request a schedule including tasks and waiting before the next treatment. This list sets no fixed number of working days. Timing must suit the selected work and materials.
How does ROT affect labour prices?
Eligible labour may receive up to 30% ROT; materials are excluded and allowance is required. Check the Swedish Tax Agency's conditions.
For 40 m² of filling only, labour becomes 7,000–10,500 SEK after a 30% deduction on all labour. Materials are extra, and conditions must be met.
How do you get a comparable filling quote?
State treated area, surface, desired final state and whether painting is included. Read about filling from NLL Måleri and use the cost calculator as a budgeting aid. For a whole room, also see the guide to the cost of filling and painting a room. Request a quote once you have measurements and photos.
