The price covers exterior roofs. Ceiling painting belongs to interior painting and has a different labour range. Always specify which kind of roof or ceiling your enquiry concerns.

What does the exterior roof painting price cover?
The labour range covers painting. Roof repairs, reroofing and every possible preparation task are not automatically included.
The table shows prices including VAT per m² treated roof area, before any applicable ROT.

The materials item is a budgeting guide, not a promise of one paint system for every roofing material. Request a treatment description specific to your roof.
Does the price cover metal roofs and other materials?
State the roof material and ask NLL to confirm suitability for the service. A generic range does not mean every material and condition can be treated identically.
Is this the same price as a ceiling?
No. NLL’s ceiling labour price is 250–437.50 SEK per m² including VAT, with materials separate. Use the interior painting price guide if you want a ceiling painted.
How do you calculate roof area?
Use the area of roof slopes being treated, not living area. Supply existing drawings or measurements and mark uncertainties.
Why are roof area and living area different?
Living area describes internal accommodation. Roof area describes roofing surfaces and depends on shape. A roof with several slopes cannot be reliably measured using only the home’s square metres.
What if roof area is unknown?
Provide what you know and request help confirming scope. Use existing photos or take them from a safe location. Do not take risks obtaining measurements or close-ups for a price enquiry.
What does 100 m² of roof cost?
Labour is 50,000–75,000 SEK including VAT. Adding the stated paint, tape and protection allowance totals 68,750–100,000 SEK before any applicable ROT.

The example assumes the materials allowance applies to the agreed treatment. Scaffolding, other access costs, repairs and extras are excluded. This is a mathematical estimate, not a fixed total for a specific roof.
What questions need answering before a quote?
Describe roof material, previous treatment and visible condition. Also give building height and known access information.
What should be stated about damage or leaks?
Describe known damage and leaks separately. A painting quote does not solve other roof problems. NLL must first assess whether the enquiry concerns the offered service and what needs other assessment.
What should be stated about metal roof treatment?
State known previous paint or treatment and attach available documentation. Read the metal roof painting guide for planning questions. Do not guess material or previous paint system to complete a form field.
How does ROT affect roof painting prices?
ROT may reduce eligible labour by up to 30% when conditions and allowance permit. Check the Swedish Tax Agency's conditions.
For 100 m², labour and stated materials total 53,750–77,500 SEK after a 30% deduction on all labour. This assumes full entitlement and that materials apply to the agreed treatment. Other costs are extra.
